Abstract:
The objective of this research was to study and compare the academic administration of schools under Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. There were 17 areas of academic administration of schools to study and compare which were: Developing or giving suggestion on developing the Local curriculum, academic planning learning and teaching in schools, school curriculum development, learning process development, measurement and evaluation and transfer of learning, research to develop the quality of education in schools, developing and supporting learning areas in schools, educational supervision, guidance, development of Internal quality systems and educational standards, supporting the community to strengthen education, collaboration with other schools or organizations to develop education, promotion and support academic establishment to individuals, families, organizations and other institutions, the preparation of academic regulations and guidelines of schools, selection of books and textbooks to use in schools, and development and use of educational media and technology. The samples used in the study were 189 government teachers: 79 teachers from small and medium schools and 110 teachers from large schools. The instruments used in collecting data were 50 items of 5 rating-scale questionnaires, asking about states and opinions of academic administration of schools. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test (t-test Independent)The result of this research found that:1. Academic administration of schools under Nakhon Phanom primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was at a high level. Considering individually, the highest level was learning and teaching in schools. Selection of book and textbooks to use in school and supporting learning areas in schools was at the medium level.2.Overall, there was no significant difference in comparing academic administration of schools under Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. When considering individually, it was found that 8 areas were significantly different at .05 which were: measurement and evaluation and transfer of learning, developing and supporting learning areas in schools, educational supervision, guidance, development of internal quality systems and educational standards, supporting the community to strengthen education, support academic establishment to individuals, families, organizations and other institutions and selection of books and textbooks to use in schools.
