Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to 1) study the school administration according to the philosophy of sufficiency economy under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, and 2) compare the school administration, according to the philosophy of sufficiency economy under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, as classified by school size and staff work experience. The research sample consisted of 234 teachers and school administrators obtained by stratified random sampling. The instrument was a questionnaire with an IOC between 0.80 to 1.00 and a reliability of 0.98. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and f-test. The results of the study were as follows: 1. Overall, school administration according to the philosophy of sufficiency economy under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was at a high level ( = 3.92, S.D. = 0.69). Sorted in descending order from the highest to the lowest, the results showed that activities for developing the students was at a high level ( = 4.04, S.D. = 0.60), as were personnel development ( = 4.00, S.D. = 0.66), results of reproductive success ( = 3.92, S.D. = 0.67), school administration ( = 3.90, S.D. = 0.72) and curriculum and learning activities ( = 3.78, S.D. = 0.74). 2. The comparisons of the school administration according to the sufficiency economy philosophy under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 showed that: 1) the school administration as classified by school size, did not produce any differences at the 0.05 level of significance for overall results as well as for individual aspects. The school administration, according to the sufficiency economy philosophy, of medium schools was higher that of than small schools and large schools, 2) the school administration according to the sufficiency economy philosophy under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 as classified by work experience also did not, overall and for each aspect, produce any differences at the 0.05 level of significance. The school administration of the administrators with less than 10 years of work experience was more in accordance with sufficiency economy principles than that of those with more than 10 years of experience.
