Abstract:
This research aimed to study 1) the level of effectiveness of solid waste management of Phraintharacha Sub-district municipality, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, 2)the influence of management toward the effectiveness of solid waste management of Phraintharacha Sub-district municipality, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, and 3) the relationship between the management factors and the effectiveness of solid waste management of Phraintharacha Sub-district municipality, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. This research was a quantitative research which collected the data from a sample of 380 respondents who were selected from the 7,326 people populations who lived in the Phraintharacha Sub-district municipality. The sample size was obtained using calculations with the Taro Yamane formula. The research tool was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, standard deviation and Pearsons Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The research findings were as follows: 1. The effectiveness of solid waste management of Phraintharacha Sub-district municipality, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province was, overall, at a low level. Considering each aspect individually, it was found that the highest mean for the solid waste treatment, followed by transportation, waste collection and transformation, respectively. 2. The influence of management toward the effectiveness of waste management of Phraintharacha Sub-district municipality, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province was, overall, at a high level, with the highest mean being for the structure factor, followed by the place factor, the budgeting factor, the personnel factor and the equipment factor, respectively. 3. The relationship between the management factor and the effectiveness of solid waste management of Phraintharacha Sub-district municipality, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province was overall, positively correlated with the effectiveness of solid waste management.
