Abstract: การศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการมีส่วนร่วม ความรู้ความเข้าใจ และจิตสํานึกเกี่ยวกับการจัดการขยะของประชาชนในชุมชน เขตเทศบาลเมืองบ้านบึง อําเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี เก็บข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกเป็ นเครื่องมือในการวิจัยโดยเฉพาะเจาะจงผู้ให้สัมภาษณ์เป็นประธานชุมชนหรือตัวแทนผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง จํานวน 15 คน และเก็บข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณโดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือโดยเจาะจงเฉพาะผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามที่เป็นประชาชน ในชุมชน เขตเทศบาลเมืองบ้านบึง อําเภอบ้านบึงจังหวัดชลบุรี จํานวน 230 ตัวอย่าง ผลการวิจัย การมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนในชุมชน พบว่า โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง มีเพียงบางชุมชนที่มีกิจกรรมที่เป็นการส่งเสริมหรือปลูกฝังการมีส่วนร่วม ในการจัดการ ขยะมูลฝอยโดยเป็นการร่วมมือกันระหว่างชุมชนกับบเทศบาลเมืองบ้านบึง คิดเป็นค่าเฉลี่ย ( X =3.41) ในด้านความรู้ความเข้าใจ และจิตสํานึกเกี่ยวกับการจัดการขยะของประชาชน พบว่า ประชาชนในเขตเทศบาลเมืองบ้านบึง มีความรู้ความเข้าใจในการคัดแยกประเภทขยะมูลฝอย ในระดับมากคิดเป็นค่าเฉลี่ย ( X =4.12) แต่มีจิตสํานึกเกี่ยวกับการจัดการขยะในระดับปานกลาง ประชาชนบางส่วนยังไม่มีการคัดแยกขยะก่อนทิ้งลงถังขยะ มีการใช้ภาชนะหรือบรรจุภัณฑ์บางประเภทที่เป็นอันตรายต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม มีปริมาณขยะที่ออกสู่ชุมชนเป็นจํานวนมากในด้าน พฤติกรรมการกาจัดขยะภายในครัวเรือนของประชาชนในชุมชน พบว่า ประชาชนในชุมชน มีพฤติกรรมหรือวิธีการต่อการจัดการขยะภายในครัวเรือนในระดับน้อยโดยบางส่วนจะยังไม่มีการคัดแยกขยะก่อนทิ้ง แต่จะใส่รวมถุงดําไว้ไปทิ้งลงถัง มีเพียงบางส่วนเท่านั้นที่มีการคัดแยกขยะก่อนทิ้ง

Abstract: This study attempts to study the participation, understanding, and conscious in wet waste management of people residing in Ban Bueng Town Municipality, Ban Bueng District in Chon Buri Province. The data were collected using in-depth interview as a research tool. 15 community leader or related representatives were purposively selected for the interviews. For quantitative study, 230 residents residing in Ban Bueng Town Municipality, Ban Bueng District in Chon Buri Province were selected to fill in the questionnaires. It was found that the people participation in the community in overall were at the moderate level. Some communities or means of 3.41 ( X = 3.41) provided activities to promote or foster the participation in wet waste management and perceived the activities as the collaboration between community and Ban Bueng Town Municipality. The study on understanding, and conscious in wet waste management of people residing in Ban Bueng Town Municipality reveal that people did understand in sorting of the waste at the high level or at the means of 4.12 ( X = 4.12) whilst the consciousness on wet waste management was at the moderate level. Some residents did not sort the waste before throwing away. Some types of containers could harm the environment. The large amount of garbage flew in the community. It was found from the study of behavior for wet waste management in household that residents behaved or dealt with waste management at low level. Some never sorted garbage before leaving. They aggregated them in black bag. Only some did sort the garbage before throwing away
