Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to study and compare core competency of school administrators from the teachers opinions under Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 classified by gender, educational level and work experience. The sample size was 292 government teachers using Taro Yamane formula for calculating the sample sizes and Stratified Random Sampling method. The instrument was a questionnaire with Index of Item Objective Congruence between 0.66 - 1.00 and reliability at 0.982. The data were analyzed through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and independent t-test.The results of the study were as follows:1. The analysis of the teachers opinions about core competency of school administrators in basic education under Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 showed that they were overall at high levels. The highest aspect was teachers ethics and integrity, followed by teamwork, and the least average was service mind.2. The comparisons among the teachers opinions about core competency of school administrators under Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 showed that working achievement motivation, service mind, self-development, teamwork, and teachers ethics and integrity were overall and in each aspect not different.
