Abstract:
This independent study aims to study demand in agricultural value chain financing credit service and explore factors affecting on credit service selection usage in agricultural value chain financing from financial institution in Chiang Rai province. The study utilized quantitative method with 302 samples from agricultural entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai province. Data were collected by the use of questionnaires, and analyzed by percentage, mean and standard deviation. Chi-Square Test analysis was used for hypothesis testing.
The study shown the samples have demand in agricultural value chain financing credit service. Factors affecting on credit service selection usage in agricultural value chain financing in extremely satisfied level are reasonable interest rates, convenient, employee service, loan limit and speed of credit service.
The results of hypothesis testing revealed that business type and factors that have relation are the purpose in credit service and business operation relate with interest rates. Business life time, purpose in credit service and business operation relate with employee service. Business type, business life time, the purpose in credit service and business operation relate with loan limit.
Benefits of this study are financial institutions in Chiang Rai province can use factors affecting on selection usage of in agricultural value chain financing credit services to gain new customers or maintain existing customers. Either they can use the result of the study to set their agricultural value chain financing credit services growth strategy and market share.
