Abstract:
This study was concretely conducted on the basis of survey research. The sample size was mainly drawn from the foreign tourists, totally 200 persons, who visited Thailand during August to September 2001. The major objectives of the study are; (1) to comprehend the foreign tourists'opinion about the senvices provided by the Tourist Police, abided by the Police for People Project, in 5 dimensions, which include General Services, Criminal Management, Personal and Property, Public Relations, and Popular Participation; (2) to analyze correlative factors such as Gender, Age, Educational Levels, Careers, Incomes, and Residents of the foreign tourists, with their own opinion towards the above-mentioned services of the Tourist Police.The research findings can be summarized in 2 main points;(1) the foreign tourists considered that the conducts and services of the Tourist Police by and large were moderately satisfied;(2) the foreign tourists with different socio-economic backgrounds in terms of Educational Levels, and Residents, had different viewpoints towards the conducts and services of the Tourist Police; but ditferentiation in terms of Gender, Age, Careers, and Incomes had no statistical significance towards the Tourist Police's conducts and services.
