Abstract: การศึกษาค้นคว้านี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้เพลงเป็นสื่อในการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษและทัศนคติของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้เพลงภาษาอังกฤษ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษานี้ คือนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านพอก อำเภอตระการพืชผล จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี จำนวน 26 คน ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2554 ซึ่งได้มาจากการเลือกแบบสุ่มตัวอย่างอย่างง่าย การศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้ระยะเวลาในการทดสอบทั้งหมด 8 ชั่วโมง แบบแผนที่ใช้ในการทดลองเป็นแบบทดสอบก่อนและหลังการทดสอบ (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1 ) แผนการสอนจำนวน 4 แผนโดยใช้เพลงภาษาอังกฤษในการสอน คำศัพท์ 2) แบบทดสอบเพื่อวัดความเข้าใจภาษาอังกฤษ 3)แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนทีมีต่อการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษด้วยการใช้เพลงสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ค่าเฉลี่ย, ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและ t-test ผลของการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้เพลงของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 และนักเรียนมีความคิดเห็นแบบเชิงบวกต่อการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้เพลงภาษาอังกฤษ The objectives of the research were to investigate the effect of songs to improve students’ ability in learning vocabulary and their attitudes towards learning by songs. The samples were 26 Prathom Suksa 6 students at Ban Phok School, Trakarnphuetpol District, Ubon Ratchathanee Province in the second semester of academic year 2011.They were random selected sampling. The study one group pre-test and post-test experimental. The experiment was carried out within eight periods. They were taught through songs approach. The instruments included 1) four lesson plans, based on English songs in vocabulary instruction 2) the achievement test and, 3) a survey questionnaire of the students’ attitude through songs instruction. The arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and t-test were used for data analysis. The findings of this study indicated that the Prathom Suksa 6 students’ ability that was taught by English songs was found to have increased at level .01 of significance. The students’ attitude towards the English songs in instruction was found to be positive.
