Abstract:
There are many problems in local museum management because of no specific management criterion, depends on each museums potentiality. On general practice, they display local products that can be gathered, some categorize the products but some dont. From the visitors point of view, those products are seen as antique and rare things. And as thing goes on like this, the visitors can get no usefulness from the museum and the museum can lose its significance.
Local museum management research will focus on the study of local products and the new design development. The results will be displayed in Thai Product Development Center as part of the Museum, for students and general visitors to see the significance of local Thai products concretely.
As the results, the researcher make 12 new products and organize 4 activities for the primary and secondary school, that is product design, cookie design, ceramics product design and travel guidance activity. Furthermore, the bulletins are published and sent to the concerned personnel and bureaus. The museum is opened on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for free or with specialty for group study or local activities for the benefit of local sustainable development.
