Abstract:
This research is to study the quality control process for the Lognormal Distribution data
with Cumulative Sum Chart. The criterion to measure the efficiency of control chart is Average
Run Length (ARL).If the process is in-control will be represented by ARL0 and when the process is out-of-control will be represented by ARL1. Although, the Monte Carlo simulation (MC) is widely used for evaluation ARL, but it requires a large number of sample trajectories. Therefore
this method is usually very time consuming. Consequently, this research is proposed an Integral
Evaluations method (IE) by approximation with Simpsons Rule, Midpoint Rule, Trapizoidal
Rule and Gauss quadrature for evaluate ARL. These numerical results have been compared with
MC and found to be very close to MC. The integral equation obviously take the computational
time much less than MC.
