Awareness about premarital health screening of the employee in Prachinburi province

Abstract: The objectives of this study are to study the awareness about premarital health screening, to study the factors affecting the awareness about premarital health screening of male and female employees of industrial factories in Prachinburi province. Data were collected by questionnaires given to 400 employees. The quantitative research was analyzed by the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Data were presented by percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance. The results confirmed that most of the female employees had awareness about premarital health screening in high level, while most of the male employees had a low level. Based on statistical test, male and female employees made an insignificant difference to the awareness about premarital health screening.The factors that affected awareness about premarital health screening of female employees included income, knowledge about diseases, perception information about premarital health screening from mass media and close person. And the factors that affected awareness of male employees included educational level, income, knowledge about diseases, perception information about premarital health screening from mass media and close person. This study suggests that knowledge of reproductive health, preventive of sexual transmitted disease and hereditary disease should be provided in primary and secondary school in order to prepare student for pre-reproductive age. Furthermore, Ministry of Public Health should give more information about premarital health screening by variety mass media in order to encourage the people and make them more awareness. The Social Security Office and National Health Security Office should add benefits about premarital health screening service for insured persons so that do not have to pay any expenses.

Abstract: การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความตระหนักในการตรวจสุขภาพก่อนสมรสและ ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตรวจสุขภาพก่อนสมรสของผู้ใช้แรงงานชายและหญิงในโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมใน จังหวัดปราจีนบุรี จำ นวน 400 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บข้อมูล และวิเคราะห์ ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตราฐาน การวิเคราะห์การผันแปรทางเดียว และT-test ผลการศึกษาพบวา่ ผูใ้ชแ้ รงงานหญิงมีความตระหนักในการตรวจสุขภาพกอ่ นสมรสในระดับสูง โดยปจั จัยที่มีผลตอ่ การตรวจสุขภาพกอ่ นสมรสของผูใ้ชแ้ รงงานหญิงไดแ้ ก ่รายไดเ้ฉลี่ยตอ่ เดือน ความรู้เกี่ยว กับโรค การรับรูข้ า่วสารการตรวจสุขภาพกอ่ นสมรสจากสื่อมวลชน และจากบุคคลใกลชิ้ด ผูใ้ชแ้ รงงานชายมี ความตระหนักในการตรวจสุขภาพก่อนสมรสในระดับตํ่า โดยปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตรวจสุขภาพก่อนสมรส ของผูใ้ชแ้ รงงานชายไดแ้ ก ่ ระดับการศึกษา รายไดเ้ฉลี่ยตอ่ เดือน ความรูเ้กี่ยวกับโรค การรับรูข้ า่วสารการ ตรวจสุขภาพก่อนสมรสจากสื่อมวลชน และจากบุคคลใกล้ชิด ขอ้ เสนอแนะจากการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ควรมีการใหค้ วามรูด้ า้นอนามัยเจริญพันธุแ์ ละการปอ้ งกันควบคุม โรคติดตอ่ ทางเพศสัมพันธต์ ลอดจนโรคทางกรรมพันธุใ์ นสถานศึกษาตั้งแตร่ ะดับประถมศึกษาและมัธยม ศึกษาหรือเทียบเทา่ นอกจากนี้กระทรวงสาธารณสุขควรใหค้ วามรูเ้กี่ยวกับการตรวจสุขภาพกอ่ นสมรส และ เพิ่มการประชาสัมพันธ์เกี่ยวกับการตรวจสุขภาพก่อนสมรสผ่านทางสื่อมวลชนแขนงต่างๆ และควรเพิ่ม สิทธิในการรับบริการตรวจสุขภาพก่อนสมรสโดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่ายทั้งในระบบประกันสังคมและระบบ ประกันสุขภาพถว้ นหนา้ (30 บาทรักษาทุกโรค) เพื่อใหผู้ใ้ ชแ้ รงงานสามารถเขา้ถึงบริการตรวจสุขภาพ ก่อนสมรสได้
